At Rowan’s yearly Fall Festival, the Mayor read the fantastical tale of a mystical, magical place called Hy-Breasail. A realm where transcendence, visions, and intuitive experiences are commonplace. Maeve O’Flaherty fantasized it was her home far, far away. A home to use her hidden “gifts” freely.

At sixteen, Maeve was pretty, kind, and one of the most likeable students at Hawthorne High. Her life and her persona were perfect…on the outside. Maeve battled internally. Clearly, no one else had her “gifts”. The question was “why?”

Great dangers lurked around every corner. No place was safe. Deep within her soul, Maeve knew her “gifts” linked her to a world unknown.

With the greatest of certainty, Maeve knew discovering the unknown was key in confronting the threat against Rowan and her “imaginary” home of Hy-Breasail.
