Gratitude and Thankfulness

Today marks the 7th anniversary that my Mom left this world for her heavenly one.  In gratitude, I memorialize her today.  This amazing woman, with my father by her side, allowed me to be who I am today.  I give them many thanks.  I was taught  to value my family; to love God and my country; to be loyal, trustworthy and honest; and to have strength and endurance to brave life’s storms.

The featured image was a gift we received from the heavens within the first days that she passed.  My father believed that there are four angels in the picture above.  The first sounding its trumpet announcing her entrance to her heavenly home.  The second my mother proudly following in her trumpeter’s path.  The third and fourth my grandmother and grandfather reunited with her as she journeys to her heavenly home.

With the gratitude I have for my parents and family and the thankfulness I have for this great country, I wish all of you a day filled with peace, love and happiness.

  1. Such a beautiful tribute Donna!! Your mom and mine left us in November. Rosie was the 18 th.
They gave us so much, most importantly was love.
May God Bless them that they are together with the rest of our family. Love you!!

  2. So moving,so heartfelt. Yes, I believe our parents made us the people we are. The love that made us secure and able to face life and all that comes with it every day. Despite the problems they may have faced in their lives, they wanted only good for us and so passed only the best they could do for us! I feel so blessed every day that I never forget to say Thank You each night…..
